Let’s talk about something most people brush off this time of year…
That weird summer slump that creeps in mid-July.
A lot of people end up feeling a little more meh than usual — especially when it comes to sticking with your usual workouts, food choices, or daily routine.
So here’s your reminder:
When your energy dips, your habits can lighten up, too.
I can tell you from experience that forcing your way through the hard stuff doesn’t build consistency… it actually builds resistance.
If it’s been feeling harder to follow through lately, here’s what I recommend:
Summer Energy Reboot Checklist:
✅ Swap your workouts.
Too hot for your usual routine? Replace high-intensity workouts with morning walks, short resistance circuits, or even light yoga/stretch sessions.
✅ Hydration is EVERYTHING.
Dehydration can lead to brain fog, fatigue, headaches, & mood swings — not to mention cravings. Try adding electrolytes or fresh fruit to your water if plain water isn’t cutting it.
✅ Go lighter on meals.
Your body may crave lighter, water-rich foods during these warmer months. Salads, smoothies, wraps, grilled veggies, and fresh fruits are easy to digest and can feel a lot better than heavy meals when it’s hot out.
✅ Cut yourself some slack.
Just keep showing up for yourself… even if it’s just for a few minutes. But do it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
